It was made at the Paramount Studios from 1987 to 1994. The show spun off from Star Trek after a long time and the success of the moves. It too had its own spin-offs - Deep Space Nine overlapped for two seasons, and it was followed by Voyager. The cast went on to make initially successful movies.
